Locally-based DJ Alex the Lion has been practicing his craft since the ripe age of 15. “My father has a giant record collection that has everything back to the 60s and 70s…” Alex says, recalling the details of how he became interested in becoming a DJ in the first place. “He had one single turntable and tape deck…one day I hooked up the two to a mixer.” Beginning with Ace of Base, Bowie, and a bevy of other throwback artists, Alex started to play around with what would eventually become a passion.
