Fiddlehead Music Festival (June 6 & 7, 2015)
This weekend features fiddle-pickin' great music. Join us for a celebration of the fiddlehead fern season and summer music in the mountains! This family-oriented outdoors event features live music, local arts and crafts booths, beer and wine garden, kid's activities and more!
Blueberry Festival (August 8 & 9, 2015)
A celebration of the lush blueberry season, this family-oriented outdoors event features over two dozen arts & crafts booths in The Hotel Alyeska Pond Courtyard, as well as live music and all the blueberry concoctions you can try. Blueberry picking and eating is encouraged; find your own secret stash.
Fungus Fair (August 21 - 23, 2015)
Just in time for prime mushroom picking season, Fungus Fair is a multi-faceted weekend of forays, naturalist presentations, outdoor concert, culminating with a Fabulous Fungus Formal featuring multi-courses showcasing local fungus treasures. The event benefits Girdwood Center of the Visual Arts.
Mountain Bike Festival (September 4 - 6, 2015)
3 days of biking-themed competitions including whips & tricks, wheelie comp, downhill race and the popular Pond Crossing, where competitors attempt to cross a floating bridge without falling into the cold water.
Alyeska Climbathon (September 12, 2015)
Challenge your vertical capacity while climbing for a cause. Run or hike the North Face Trail, with friends and family, while raising money to help end womens cancers. Set on the North Face Trail (2.2 miles top to bottom with 2,000 vertical elevation gain), competitors head up the trail and download on the Aerial Tram for nine hours. The winner is the one who logs the most laps in the given timeframe.
Oktoberfest (3 Weekends! Sept. 18 & 19, Sept. 25 & 26 and October 2 & 3, 2015)
Autumn would not be the same without a festive atmosphere celebrating the many attributes of beer. All weekends include authentic German fare, souvenir mugs, polka bands plus live music by some of Alaska's favorite bands.
Halloween (October 31, 2015)
On Saturday, October 31, in partnership with the Alaska Railroad, the Alyeska Halloween Train is scheduled for a mid-afternoon departure from Anchorage to the haunted Hotel Alyeska, featuring a buffet dinner and one-way train ride from Anchorage to Girdwood with return by coach bus the next day. The resort is also hosting its popular Halloween Concert in the Daylodge on Saturday, October 31.
