Opening Day! (November 28, 2013)
It's finally here! The first day of skiing and riding for the 2013/14 winter season.
Ski Patrol Auction (December 7, 2013)
A rowdy fundraiser at the Sitzmark to benefit the resort's Avalance Canine Program, which currently supports three dogs - Zooka, Fundy and Yuki. Ten (un)willing patrollers from Alyeska's Ski Patrol will be featured and each live auction winner will win an early morning ski with their patroller of choice.
Torchlight Parade & Fireworks (December 31, 2013)
A New Year's Eve tradition, the Torchlight Parade lights up Mt. Alyeska as skiers and snowboarders ski down the mountian in formation with flares. A stunning fireworks show immediately follows the parade.
North Face Vertical Challenge (February 21, 2014)
Skiers and snowboarders test their endurance during the North Face Vertical Challenge, a day-long race in which 50 competitors vie to see who can get the most accumulated vertical on the North Face from 9 am until 5 pm.
Chugach Open (March 21 & 22, 2014)
The Alyeska Chugach Open is a multi-discipline big mountain competition open to alpine, snowboard & telemark.
Spring Carnival (April 11 - 13, 2014)
With one of the longest ski seasons in North America, Alyeska Resort embraces spring in typical Alaskan fashion. Spring Carnival takes advantage of the long days with extended hours of lift operations, great spring-skiing conditions, and Alyeska’s largest and most popular winter event, Taco Bell Slush Cup, where competitors dressed in zany costumes attempt to skim across a 90-foot long pool of freezing water. Other activities include the KWHL Costume Party, Idiot Swim, Dummy Downhill, XTRATUF Pull Tug-of-War, live music, and more!
