Travel up the scenic Iditarod Trail to Crow Creek Mine. Enjoy a short walking tour. Wander through one hundred year-old buildings and antiques surrounded by manicured lawns and flower gardens. Your knowledgeable guide will interpret the mining history as well as the bountiful flora and fauna of the area. Crow Creek Mine is a beautiful location that is frequently used for weddings, film shoots and private functions. Gold panning is optional for an additional charge to Crow Creek Mine.
Climb back aboard the Pinzgauer and travel further up the Iditarod Trail to a private, active gold mining operation where scenic trails and stunning overlooks offer breathtaking views. This mine is located high up in the alpine growth of the Chugach Mountains where 7000” mountain peaks surround you. View hanging glaciers and possible wildlife sightings such as moose, bear, goats and sheep. Your guide is an expert at finding these animals using binoculars and spotting scopes.
This is where you will get a feel for the off road capabilities of the Pinzgauer as we do some exciting six-wheel trail riding! Your guide will drive along stunning trails that will make your Alaskan experience a one of a kind experience.
To finish your fun filled day, hop aboard the open air 6x6 Pinzgauer for an Alaskan Party Safari. This tour is all about fun, with music and sightseeing! This guided tour focuses mainly on trail riding along the historical Iditarod trail. Bring your camera, a smile, and a beverage of your choice. The scenery in this Alpine setting is stunning, with frequent wildlife sightings such as moose, dall sheep, bears, eagles and other birds.
Customized trips are available for corporate groups, families, weddings and other private parties with special interests. Up to 20 people can be accomodated per tour.
