SnowshoeingLooking for a snow sport that will allow you to tour Alyeska’s beautiful landscape and scenery? Snowshoeing is a great way to explore the resort and experience all of Alaska’s natural beauty. Enjoy a beautiful hike through Moose Meadows, or any of the surrounding trails at the base of Mt. Alyeska. Choose to go out on your own, or register for a guided snowshoe tour with a local outfitter and get the most out of your exploration.
Trail maps are available at Concierge and Front Desk. Rental equipment is available at the Hotel Rental Shop located on the 2nd floor.

Enjoy the Alaskan backcountry on a guided snowshoe hike. Come explore the Historic Iditarod Trail while snowshoeing along Winner Creek. Tour is 2.5 miles long, takes two to three hours, and moderate in level. Your naturalist guide will point out and discuss the flora and fauna of North America's northern-most temperate rainforest. You may even see a moose!
The guided hike includes: van shuttle from the hotel plus hot drinks and snack. Please wear hiking or winter boots; winter clothing to include: ski-type water-resistant jacket, pants, gloves, wool or fleece hat, dress in layers wearing long johns, warm winter socks, bring a day-pack or fanny pack for water and camera. Trips finish at The Hotel Alyeska. These winter snowshoeing trips are great for families and groups.
Departs daily between November – April at 9 am
Rates: Half-Day (2-3 hours): $149 per Adult; $129 per child
Full-Day (6-8 hours): $189 per Adult
Participant age: 9 and up
No previous experience necessary.
Transportation
Price includes a courtesy shuttle from The Hotel Alyeska to the climbing or skiing area. Pick-ups in Anchorage are an additional fee.
