To help make your visit to the spa as relaxing as possible, we have anticipated the following questions.
Age
For the safety and comfort of all our guests, the minimum age requirement to visit the spa is 15 years of age.
Guest Timeliness
We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. Arriving late will possibly interfere with your treatment time. All appointments will end at their scheduled time so that the next guest will not be delayed.
What to Wear
The Spa at Alyeska does not require any dress code. For those guests who are comfortable, Body Treatments or Massages are best enjoyed without clothing although undergarments may be worn if preferred. Professional draping is performed throughout the duration of the service for privacy. We request that all guests take a shower prior to arrival. We will provide robes and slippers at the spa for your comfort and convenience.
Health Problems & Comfort Level
Please notify the Spa Receptionist before booking treatments if you are pregnant, have allergies, high blood pressure, any physical ailments or disabilities. This will allow our staff to prepare in advance to provide the best possible spa treatment or therapy for you. When receiving your treatment the technician will address your needs based on your personal assessment. We encourage you to communicate with your technician during your treatment.
Shaving
Shaving is not recommended before a Body Treatment, Waxing or Gentleman’s Facial. If you choose to shave, please shave at least four hours prior to your service.
Gratuity
Gratuities are not included in the cost of the services. If you are pleased with the services you have received it is customary to give 20% gratuity to your Spa Technician.
Other Suggestions
Please leave your jewelry at home or in your hotel room safe. Although we provide locking garment bags while receiving treatment, we regret that we cannot be responsible for personal articles.
To ensure that you receive the complete benefit of our service, it is recommended that all spa patrons drink plenty of water prior to their treatment as well as afterwards.
For the comfort of all our guests, we ask that you please turn off all cell phones and pagers.
You may request a specific gender Spa Technician while booking an appointment. We cannot guarantee that we will have your request available at all times. All Spa employees are trained to respect the privacy of our guests and to create a comfortable relaxing environment for all.
To ensure you reserve your prefered service day and time, we recommend advanced reservations at least 24 hours in advance. Reservations can be made at 907-754-2550 or via email.
Please contact The Spa at Alyeska at least 24 hours in advance to cancel or change an appointment. If we do not receive a call 24 hours in advance you will be charged the amount in full of the service or treatment.
