North Face Vertical Challenge: Climbathon

The 5th Annual North Face Vertical Challenge: Climbathon is an endurance event where contestants will walk, hike and run up the steep North Face Trail of Mt. Alyeska and ride the Tram down as many times as possible from 9 am to 7 pm. The top competitors last year climbed over 20,000 vetical feet! This distance is the equivalent of climbing Denali - only you have 10 hours to do it. Have you got what it takes?

  • Entry fee $25 in advance, $30 race day. $15 for additional family members.
  • Register in advance at the Tram Ticket Office.
  • Bib pickup and race day registration from 8 - 8:45 am
  • Mandatory briefing at 8:45 am
  • Race Time: 9 am (Entry closed at 8:45 am)
  • All participants must fill out a Registration FormLiability Release and Model Release. All participants under the age of 18 must have parental signauture.
  • Results and awards will directly follow the race on the Columbia Patio
  • If the race is cancelled due to weather, make up day will be Saturday, September 15
