National Safety Week

January 17 to 25, 2015

Safety First! National Safety Month occurs every year in January. Many ski areas across the country participate in Safety Month to educate skiers and snowboarders about being safe, and to use common sense on the slopes. National Safety Month includes a poster drawing contest, a photo contest, and participating resorts also compete for safety awards. Each resort supports Safety Month in different ways by creating new and exciting initiatives on their mountain.

Come out and learn about ways to have a safer experience on the slopes and have a chance to win free stuff. Throughout the week of January 17 to 25, Resort staff will be handing out midweek lift tickets, hot ski waxes and stickers to those wearing helmets and being safe on the mountain. Plus, all gear rentals will include a free helmet rental (while supplies last) and we will be offering free helmet fittings and binding checks during Safety Week. Alyeska Mountain Shop and Max's Sport Shop will be offereing 25% off regularly priced helmets and 15% off regularly priced avalanche beacons, air bag packs, shovels and probes. View the full schedule>
