Alyeska Resort only hires individuals who currently possess documentation showing they are eligible for employment in the United States. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug-Free Workplace. Housing

Alyeska Resort manages a 20,000 square foot employee housing complex named Powder House opened in 2008. Powder House provides employees with affordable, clean and well-maintained housing close to work. It can house up to 120 people. The units are fully furnished and include a complete kitchen with stove, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. Two-bedroom and four- bedroom apartments are available.  Employee housing is offered on a first come first serve basis.  Please note: an offer for employment must be made before a housing application will be accepted.  Please email us with any questions about employee housing.

Housing in Girdwood can be quite seasonal with more openings in the spring and fall than mid-season. Please check out Craigslist and utilize bulletin boards in the community for listings.


Transportation

Glacier Valley Transit (GVT) is Girdwood's public transportation system. GVT operates year-round with designated shuttle stops. Visit their website for current shuttle schedule, stop locations, and available rates and passes. On the site, you will also find information on Dial-A-Ride-Services for the disabled needing additional assistance.

The bus fare is $1 per trip per person. Monthly passes or punch passes are also available. Please visit the Alyeska Tram Ticket Office for more information and to purchase.
