Alyeska has been designing and building our summer downhill biking trails for the past 3 years. With an established trail system, experienced trail builders and savvy local riders we've decided that our third summer of offering DH biking is the perfect time to introduce some new summer events at Alyeska Resort including a downhill race series and bike festival.
The Alyeska Enduro features a cross country race from one end of the mountain to the other. There will be three different classes of riders, beginner, sport and expert; each class will need to complete 2, 3 and 4 laps respectively. Registration will begin at 9 am with racing beginning at 11 am. More info here
The Alyeska Cup is designed with its winter counterpart in mind, Town League. The Alyeska Cup is a downhill mountain bike race series that challenges the rider's skills as they face a downhill single track course laid before them. Riders are complete timed runs and earn points throughout the series. At the end of the biking series a winner is determined. Weekly prizes include bike tickets and local art. Entry is free with purchase of a day lift ticket or season pass. Click the month for more race info July, August and September
Live music, bikes and free competitions, what else could you want? Events to include a chainless downhill, tight-rope ride, distance air, wheelie and a cross country rally. Music & sponsors to be announced soon!
