February 9, 2011 (Girdwood, Alaska) – The Sitzmark Bar and Grill is the winter staple for skiers and riders. Open daily for lunch, après ski and dinner, the restaurant features a casual menu that speaks to active adults and finicky kids. The “Sitz” – as it’s called by loyal patrons – is typically bustling on the weekends and during major televised sporting events. In an effort to grow business levels mid-week, Sitzmark is partnering with The Odom Corporation, based in Anchorage, and introducing “Absolut™ Winter” promotions every Wednesday night from February 9 to March 30, 2011.
The Wednesday night promotions will feature fun games and prize giveaways sponsored by Absolut™ Vodka, Molson of Canada™, and Rockstar™ Energy Drink. The Sitzmark is installing a new foosball table, and now offers darts along with the pool table. Absolut Winter promotion nights will be hosted by a live emcee who will be giving away a snowcat tour with Chugach Powder Guides or snowboard each week. To qualify for the giveaway prizes, participants can choose from purchasing special drinks or playing the new bar games. All participants will also be entered into a grand prize drawing for a heli-ski trip with Chugach Powder Guides. The fun will start at 7:00 P.M.
The Sitzmark Bar and Grill is a local’s favorite restaurant and music venue. Open daily at 11:00 A.M. during the winter season, the restaurant features an approachable menu with family friendly offerings such as hot appetizers, burgers, and grilled sandwiches. The bar features over twenty beers on tap, wine by the glass and bottle, and a full bar. During the Absolut™ Winter promotional period, specialty vodka cocktails will be served weekly featuring different Absolut™ Vodka flavors.
The Sitzmark switches gears and sets up for evening music entertainment at 9:00 P.M. when the venue allows guests ages 21 and over only. Every weekend, bands hit the stage at 10:00 P.M. and range from local rock cover bands to national award-winning performers.
