Mountain Updates: Bundle up & come burn some runs in the sun today! The groomers have been busy all night smoothing and widening runs on the upper mountain all the way down to the beginner runs on Bear Cub Quad. The ski area is open for top to bottom winter fun at 10:30am today. Glacier Bowl Express & Wade's Way will load the last skiers & riders at 4:30pm. Teds, Bear Cub Quad, Finnland Magic Carpet and the Tram will close at 5:30pm for skiing & riding.
The Inside Line: Join Alyeska's Snow Safety team in Columbia A ballroom today at 11 am for an avalanche awareness clinic and discussion. The clinic is FREE to all and breakfast burritos, coffee and juice will be provided.This hour long classroom style discussion will conclude at noon and reconvene at the top of the tram/roundhouse museum at 12:30 pm for beacon drills and demonstration. Please bring your own beacon if you have one!Avalanche rescue dog demonstrations to follow at the top of the tram/chair 1 area at 2 pm. Come hang with the dogs and watch them do their drills!This is a great opportunity to get educated on basic avalanche safety and beacon operations. See you there!
