Winter Fun for Kids
Winters in Alaska are unmatched. With ample snow and Alaska’s largest alpine resort, Alyeska is truly a winter wonderland.
Here's just a sampling of things to do with kids during the snowy season:
- Holidays at Alyeska Resort – Starting mid-December, Alyeska becomes a holiday extravaganza. Special events include photos with Santa, skiing with Santa as well as a torchlight parade and fireworks show.
- Night Skiing – Skiing and riding under the lights is a thrill for all ages. Providing a safe and less crowded experience, night-skiing is a serene way to explore the mountain. Night-skiing operates mid-December to late March from 4 to 8 pm.
- Alyeska Terrain Parks – Alyeska Resort offers freeride terrain for all levels. For groms, start off easy and master the Daylodge Progression Park. Feelin' good? Head over to The Pump Station 3 Park & dial in your progress. Ready to send it? Head over to The Refinery and test your abilities. For kids looking to master the park, the Mountain Learning Center offers a variety of camps.
- Snowmobile Tours – See more of the mountains and glaciers in the area on a guided snowmobile tour. The Slow and Easy Snowmobile Tour is great for family groups with kids. Your guided tour will take you through trails, open fields, beautiful rivers, frozen waterfalls and possible wildlife sightings. Perfect for all ages, no experience required. Alyeska’s concierge staff can make reservations for you.
