Join Chugach Powder Guides for cat skiing adventures in the world-famous Chugach Mountain Range. The guides are highly trained and have extensive Alaskan experience. At Chugach Powder Guides, the goal is to make your backcountry adventure exciting, safe and memorable. They want you to see why Alaska’s mountains are recognized for having some of the best backcountry skiing and snowboarding in the world!
CPG has offered spectacular cat skiing in Girdwood for over 15 years. Over that time, the accessible terrain available to CPG has more than doubled. Today, during a typical cat skiing day we average 10,000 vertical feet of skiing over 6 runs. CPG cat guides draw upon a variety of terrain options to deliver a great day of skiing, including gladed trees, steeps, open powder fields, rock features, pillows, and more. Expect 8-12 guests and two guides per snowcat group. Snowcat guests will receive avalanche beacons and a safety briefing before loading the cat. Our cat skiing trips depart from directly outside the Alyeska Resort, offering great convenience for our guests.
