Alyeska Resort Mountain Learning Center offers private and group lessons for all ages and ability levels. With a certified team of Professional Mountain Bike Instructors, the Mountain Learning Center provides comprehensive programs designed to help Bikers get the most out of their on-mountain experience.
Summer ’22: Alyeska Resort Junior Mountaineers is a fantastic intro for outdoor wilderness skills including knots and ropes, rock climbing, and mountain route finding. Campers age 7 – 12 will learn the fundamentals for safe mountain travel and beginner mountaineering techniques.

Alyeska Resort Summer Mountain Operations
Get access to the Alyeska Bike Park all summer long with a season pass or mountain access to upper mountain hiking trails with a tram day tickets. For day visitors, Alyeska offers rental and ticket locations at both The Hotel Alyeska and the Daylodge.
Need a lesson? Our instructors are PMBIA certified and will get you comfortable on our terrain and on a full suspension downhill bike.

Determine Your Level
First time:
This lesson is for anyone who has never ridden a downhill mountain bike before, or have, but it’s been a very long time.
What lesson should I sign up for?
Novice:
For Riders that can navigate turns, trails and basic obstacles on easy green terrain accessed by chairlift (Bear Cub Quad).
What lesson should I sign up for?
Intermediate:
For Riders that are comfortable biking on Alyeska blue bike trails. Body positioning, braking and balance is natural and comfortable.
What lesson should I sign up for?
Alyeska’s Mountain Learning Center Refund & Cancellation Policy
- Check-in & Late Arrival: You should check-in to your lesson at the Day Lodge at least 30 minutes prior to your lesson start time. If you are late to your lesson and we are not able to accommodate you for that day or you cannot reschedule for any reason (including but not limited to mountain reservation and lesson availability), you will not be able to participate in your lesson and you will not be eligible for a refund.
- Advance Purchase Required: You can book online 3 days prior or over the phone 2 days prior to a lesson. Day-of lesson add-ons and modifications are subject to availability and are not guaranteed. We reserve the right to modify this advance purchase policy at any time and for any reason.
- Cancellation or Refund Policy:
- Changes or cancellations can be made in advance of your lesson by calling or emailing the Mountain Learning Center. (907)-754-2280 or mountainlearningcenter@alyeskaresort.com
- Any cancellations or reschedules within 48 hours of the lesson start time will be charged the Cancellation Fee or Changes Fee. “Cancellation Fee” means 50% of the cost of any Mountain Learning Center Product. “Change Fee” is $25 per student.
- Personal Illness/ Injury Exceptions: If you cancel due to a personal illness/injury within 48 hours we will provide you with a full refund, provided, however, we reserve the right to request medical documentation confirming your personal illness/injury. If not supplied promptly, we may deny you a refund.
