Alyeska Resort Junior Mountaineers is a fantastic intro for outdoor wilderness skills including hiking, knots and ropes, rock climbing, mountain route finding, and cross country biking. Campers will learn the fundamentals for safe mountain travel and beginner mountaineering techniques.  

Bring your own packable lunch. 

Harnesses and climbing equipment provided by Alyeska Resort.

Description

  • Departs: 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. –  Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday
  • Meet at the base of Alyeska Tram
  • Fun for ages 7 – 12
  • Outdoor Activities may include rock climbing, hiking, cross country biking and other outdoor activities based on the weather. 
  • Your Rock Climbing guide/instructor will teach knots, climbing techniques, introductory mountaineering skills.
  • All climbing gear including: helmet, harness, rock shoes, chalk bag, ropes and hardware
  • Limited availability on rental bikes.  
  • Registration opens mid May 
  • Camp starts June 8
  • Offered every week this summer until August 12
  • Registration cuts off at 12pm the day prior
