Mountain Bike Lessons
Bike School has returned to the Mountain Sports School at Alyeska, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome riders to the mountain. Whether you’ve never pointed a bike downhill before or you’re looking to build a solid foundation of skills, this is your starting point, with some of the most breathtaking views you’ll find on any mountain in the world as your backdrop. Please note: Lesson options are more limited this season as we get the program rolling, but what we do have is packed with stoke and guided by our expert instructors.
Intro to Downhill Mountain Biking
This season we will be focusing on beginner group lessons. Running every day at 1:00 PM for two hours, the lesson is designed to introduce riders to the fundamentals of downhill mountain biking in a fun, supportive environment, from body position and braking technique to reading trail features and building confidence on the hill.
Lessons are available seven days a week but run a little differently depending on the day.
Here’s what to expect:


Level: Beginner
AGES: 14+
Cost: $79/person, includes lift ticket or uphill pass.
Terrain: Dirt, Rock, Trails
Time: 2 hours
Both options run daily at 1:00pm for 2 hours. Includes helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, & trail access.
Private Mountain Bike Clinic
Lessons are available seven days a week but run a little differently depending on the day.
Here’s what to expect:


Level: Any
AGES: 14+
Cost: $150
Terrain: Dirt, Rock, Trails
Time: 2 hours
Both options run daily, anytime between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Includes helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, & trail access.
