Today's Mountain Report

Effective immediately, Alyeska Resort will close the ski area for the remainder of the winter season in response to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic following government guidelines.

As of today, March 18, 2020, all Alyeska Resort mountain operations, including lifts, aerial tramway, rentals, Mountain Learning Center and restaurants will be closed. Our decision to close the resort was not easily made but we feel these measures are necessary out of concern for the health and safety of our community, guests, employees, and the surrounding communities of Southcentral Alaska.

Uphill travel is strictly prohibited. There will be on-going equipment and tear down efforts on the mountain as well as continued avalanche mitigation through the spring.

Alyeska Resort is proud to have offered a quality winter product for as long as we felt reasonable and we thank all of our guests who came out to enjoy our mountain with their friends and families. We thank our staff for their efforts and hard work. We’ll be sending more information to our season passholders shortly in a separate email. The Hotel Alyeska is currently open. The Aurora Bar & Grill will continue to offer to go orders and in-room dining and will continue to waive room service fees.

Thank you all for the kind words of encouragement and support, as we navigate through through this challenging time, we truly appreciate it and look forward to serving you in the future!
