September is for sightseeing!
With these colder evening temperatures, we are beginning to see the seasonal shift with termination dust appearing high in the Chugach. This is one of our favorite times of the year, with spectacular alpine views in every direction. Incredible mountain adventures await you here in Girdwood.
The Alyeska Bike Park is spinning Saturdays & Sundays through September 13, with a few extra-special days on the horizon. Glacier Bowl Express will open for biking September 5–6 and September 12–13, giving riders a chance to explore even more of the mountain before summer comes to a close.
There’s plenty more to discover beyond the Bike Park. Take in the views from the Veilbreaker Skybridges, explore the mountains on a scenic Side by Side Tour, join a guided eBike ride, or hit the trails on a guided hike. Whether you’re looking for a little mountain adrenaline or a slower way to take in the scenery, there’s still plenty of summer to enjoy.
Soak up the sights, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and make the most of these final weeks. Summer may be winding down, but there’s still plenty of adventure waiting in the Chugach.
Stop by our Mountain Concierge on the 2nd floor for activity recommendations and the latest conditions updates.
