Kenai Fjords National Park
Established in 1980 and containing the Harding Icefield, one of the largest in the United States, Kenai is famed for its numerous fjords which leave travellers spellbound at the beauty. A tour of the fjords guided by National Park Rangers will allow the visitor to observe a multitude of marine life and land based mammals such as sea lions, porpoises, black bear and orcas.

Denali National Park and Preserve
Established in 1917 and totalling over 4.7 million acres (bigger than New Hampshire!), the national park gets its name for the centerpiece, Denali Mountain, the highest in North America. Originally named Mount McKinley National Park, the mountain and park were renamed Denali (“the high one” in the native Athabaskan language) in 2015 by President Obama. Grizzly bears, black bears, wolf packs and more make Denali home, creating a natural wonder known the world over for its pristine landscapes and unspoiled ecosystems.
The Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve
The Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve is the largest area managed by the national park service in the United States, totalling 13.1 million acres, as much as six Yellowstone National Parks. Major sites include Mount Saint Elias– second highest in North America, Malaspina Glacier– the largest piedmont glacier in North America and Nabesna Glacier– the world’s longest valley glacier. As well, numerous abandoned mines and mills create a National Historic Landmark district.
